Directed by debutant Ratheesh Balakrishnan, Android Kunjappan was one of the highest grossing films of last year. The film stars Suraj Venjaramoodu and Soubin Shahir in the lead roles. Saiju Kurup won the big audience by portraying the character Prasanan. However, Saiju reveals that this is a film that acted with great tension from the first scene till the last scene cut. In an interview with Malayala Manorama, Saiju Kurup says that at one stage he was thinking of getting back the advance amount that he had purchased the previous day.
Saiju says that he did not know what the dialogues were to say in Payyannur slang and that he did not remember what director Ratheesh had told him. Saiju revealed that when he called the Associate to find out which scenes were going to take place the next day, the dialogue in the script was told in Payyanur Slang.This was realized when she came to Kannur for the shooting of the film.
Saiju says that he was tensed and thought that he would call back his chief associate Sudheesh Gopinathan and if nothing happened, he would come back. Saiju Kurup says that when he was lying down every night, he was thinking about how he would do the next day.Saiju explains that he called Sudheesh and said that the goat was a horrible creature. The actor has revealed that Sudheesh did not leave Saiju and repeatedly said that Saiju could do it.
